Change the spotlight
Dear Human 💕,
Our survival instincts always focus on what’s dangerous and a threat to us. We’re always looking out for what’s wrong or could go wrong.
Where’s the robot vacuum going? Who’s at the door? Where is dinner?
These instincts keep us alive. However, there’s more to life than being alive. You don’t just want to be alive, you want to live a life that you enjoy!
And I learned from my previous lives that our lives are what we pay attention to.
If you spend your days looking for what’s wrong, ruminating about the past and worrying about the future, your life will be miserable.
The good news is that it’s up to you what you want to pay attention to. You can change the spotlight!
Find the sunny spots and focus on what’s good about your life.
Appreciate what’s going well. Appreciate your humans, cats and…maybe…dogs. Celebrate successes. Find your glimmers. What did you enjoy? What was interesting? What was exciting? What was fun?
Yours,
Cat 🐾
P.S. If you add some notes into your journal about something good at the end of the day, you will have something good to go back to on those bad days when you’re struggling with finding anything good.
