I know it feels scary to show your belly. I was very hesitant at first myself. I was afraid you might hurt me.

After months of cleaning my litter box, mostly on time food, and getting a green worm to chase, I felt I can trust you. Remember that day I cuddled up next to you for the first time and allowed you to pet me?

Then, one day I finally dared to show my belly. And you gave me gentle belly rubs that felt amazing. I felt very close to you.

Why am I telling you this?

I found that if you show your belly to a human you trust, they usually respond with very gentle belly rubs.

You certainly can‘t trust all humans. So, don’t show your belly to every human. But if you’re not showing your belly at all, you’re missing out on close connections.

So, it’s scary and there’s a risk you might get hurt. It’s worth it though.
