Who can I ask for support?

Dear Human 💕,

You look like you are struggling and I am here for you.

I like to know my go-to-creatures that can support me in all kinds of different situations. This way I always know who I can reach out to, even when I feel overwhelmed.

How do you find your go-to-creatures?

Look for creatures that care about you and can understand what you’re going through. Creatures you can trust and you are comfortable with. Creatures that make you feel like you’re not the only one struggling with whatever it is. Creatures that show that you’re not alone in this.

Looks for creatures that are honest with you and can help you put things into perspective. Creatures that think things through with you. Creatures that can help you figure out how to tackle this.

Depending on what you’re struggling with, you might want to go to different creatures. One human might be great support with relationship struggles, but has no idea what’s going on at work. Another human might be great support for struggles at work, even if they don’t know anything about your personal life.

I know it can be hard to ask for support. You don’t want to bother others with your problems. You should be able to figure this out by yourself. Meow. There are more than 8 billion humans on this planet. Trust me, others have struggled with a very similar situation. And usually, other humans are happy to support. But they need to know that you need it. So, don’t hesitate to ask for support.

Yours,
Cat 🐾

P.S. If your go-to-creatures can’t help and things are feeling really bad, a therapist and / or a therapy group can help.

P.P.S. In a crisis, you can reach out to a network of local crisis centers that are available 24/7 to provide support in any kind of emotional crisis. In the US using the 988 Lifeline is free and confidential. Dial or text 988 for support!
