Imagine yourself somewhere safe and relaxed
Dear Human 💕,
You look stressed.
When I feel stressed or anxious, I take a few deep breaths. I close my eyes. I imagine myself in a safe spot. I imagine being on the sofa with you. I imagine being curled up on the soft and warm fleece blanket. I image you giving me gentle cuddles. Just imagining this, calms down my mind and my body.
Now, take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes. Think about a place where you feel safe and relaxed. Maybe on the sofa under the fleece blanket cuddling with me? Imagine you’re there. Take a few more deep breaths. Imagine you’re there with all your senses. How does the blanket feel? How does my fur feel? What do you see? Think about how cute I am all curled up. What do you smell? Maybe you’re sipping a coffee? What can you hear? Can you hear me purr? Keep keep taking deep breaths.
I promise it will calm you down.
