Right where it belongs?
Dear Human 💕,
I see you staring at your reflection in the window like you’re trying to figure out who that really is.
You thought you built the perfect life – everything organized, everything “where it belongs.” The safe job and the predictable routine that kept out uncertainty. But now you’re wondering why everything feels so hollow. Why do you feel so empty despite having everything you thought you wanted?
What cage did you build for yourself?
The very things you build to feel safe can become the bars that keep you trapped. The life that looked perfect from the outside becomes a cage you designed yourself.
What if everything around you isn’t quite what it seems? What if the “safe” life you built is actually keeping you from living? What if all those rules and expectations you follow aren’t protecting you – they’re just keeping you trapped?
I know it’s scary to look at your reflection and ask if this is really all you want to be. Or is that just who you thought you were supposed to be? It takes courage to look through the cracks and see what’s underneath the carefully constructed façade.
You can keep living in this comfortable illusion. You can choose to believe that this hollow feeling is just how life is supposed to feel. You can keep hiding and pretending everything is fine.
Or you can ask yourself the hard questions:
What parts of yourself did you lock away?
What would happen if you unlocked the cage?
The key is in your hands. It always has been. Dare to see what’s really there when you look at your reflection.
Yours,
Cat🐾
P.S. Being “too f****d up to care anymore” can be a new beginning. When you stop caring about maintaining the perfect cage, you might finally have the courage to step outside it.
