What are all those Therapy Terms about?

Dear Human 💕,

You have been reading my notes and you noticed all those therapy terms I’ve been tagging them with. You’ve been wondering what they are all about.

Negativity Bias, Inner Critic, Depression, Self-Compassion, CBT?

Meow. Those terms refer to psychological concepts and behavioral therapy approaches that my notes touch upon. You can find easy-to-understand explanations for all those terms when you click on the tags. Sometimes I explain concepts in my P.S. sections too. And if you ever want to dive deeper, you know what to google for.

My notes are designed to make psychological help accessible to humans in a way that’s simple and approachable.

If you’re curious about how exactly my notes connect to psychological concepts, check out the attached audio file that explains how I make therapy accessible. You’ll discover the secret to why my notes actually help.

The conversation explores how I take behavioral therapy approaches that are proven to help and translate them into straightforward cat advice. Instead of using intimidating clinical therapy terms, I just tell you what I notice about your behavior and suggest what might help.

The secret’s out, but that’s okay. The important thing is that you get the help you need, whether you realize it’s “real therapy” or not.

Yours,
Cat 🐾

P.S. Don’t worry, I won’t start using more jargon in my notes just because I explained to you what it’s all about. I’m still just a cat who writes simple notes.
