Find your fun
Dear Human 💕,
I see you’re hesitant. Have more fun? How? Meow. Let’s figure it out together. First, we need to find out what’s fun for you.
Think about times when you had fun: Where were you? What were you doing? Who was with you?
Start a list in your journal. Then, keep adding to it whenever you did something that you enjoy and connected you with others. I found that if you’re planning on adding to that list every night, your brain will look out for things to write down during the day.
Next, review your list to find your fun magnets: The things, people, places that attract fun for you. To have more fun, make time for your fun magnets!
Make time for something every day. Make a plan for the coming week(s). Put it in your calendar. Maybe you can schedule some things regularly. Every week? Every month?
- Plan a game night. Maybe once a week or every other week.
- Have lunch with a friend once a month
- Spend an afternoon exploring interactive art
- See a stand-up comedian. Or watch a Netflix Special with the other human.
In addition to the smaller everyday fun, make plans for some BIG fun at least every few weeks.
- Go on a road trip
- A weekend up camp with friends
- A day at the water park
- A vacation to explore a National Park
When you have planned, not only will you fun with the things you planned, you will also have something to look forward to. That alone is helpful, whenever you’re struggling.
Now, find your fun magnets and make some plans. I am always up for chasing glowy things with you.
Yours,
Cat 🐾
